Private (Non NHS) work – Fees & Charges

The National Health Service (NHS) provides most health care to most people free of charge but there are exceptions, for example, medical reports for insurance companies, claim forms for referral for private care, other letters/forms and specialised immunisations.

Doctors have a very heavy workload and time spent completing forms and preparing private medical reports etc. takes the doctor away from the medical care of his/her patient, therefore for non NHS work the Practice can charge a fee.
