Release from Honley Surgery on its current position to delay the follow-up dose of Pfizer COVID vaccine to a cohort of its patients as at 11/01/2021

UPDATED: 11/01/2021

Further to our previous message regarding the second doses of the COVID vaccine and our plans to continue with the appointments already booked, unfortunately we have been advised by NHS England that we will NOT be getting the expected delivery of the Pfizer Bio COVID vaccines next week so we are unable to proceed.

For all those patients who have an appointment scheduled for next Wed 13/1/2021 for the second dose we will be telephoning you to ensure that you are aware that your appointment is cancelled.  We will then re-contact you in 9-10 weeks to reschedule your second dose appointment when we receive confirmation by NHS England that we will be getting supplies of the vaccine delivered.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

PS we are of the understanding that the Astra Zeneca vaccine will be rolled out sometime in the next few weeks – please do not contact the surgery to make enquiries about this we will be in touch with patients when we have more information.

Thank you for your support
