GWOC TEAM CHALLENGE

UPDATE: We completed our team challenge! We raised £290 for MIND.

Following on from our last team challenge which was a huge success we have decided to push ourselves even further and complete the miles of the Great Wall of China! The whole practice team at Honley Surgery including our COVID-19 vaccination clinic volunteers are completing the miles of the Great Wall of China through various forms of exercise.

Like our previous challenge we have divided into 2 teams with our advanced Practitioners as our team leaders. Scott H is leading the Crouching Tigers team and Virginia R is leading the Hidden Dragons team. Our chosen charity for this challenge is MIND.

The teams are competing to complete the miles of the Great Wall of china, which is a whopping 13171 miles (by walking, running, swimming or cycling). Our aim is for each team to start at the opposite ends of the wall and meet in the middle.  Our team challenge aims to boost moral and improve the general wellbeing both physically and mentally of staff, whilst also raising funds for charity.

Please wish us luck and if possible show your support by

LEGOG TEAM CHALLENGE

UPDATE: We have completed our team challenge! Both teams finished on the same day and we raised a total of £1520 between the 2 charities!

The whole practice team at Honley Surgery are completing the miles from John O Groats to Lands’ End through various forms of exercise.  This idea has come from one of our neighbouring practices (Elmwood), who are also doing a team challenge to raise funds for charity.

At Honley Surgery we have divided into 2 teams with our Advanced Practitioners as our team leaders.  Scott H is leading the RED FEET team, raising funds for Cancer Research UK and Virginia R is leading the PURPLE HEARTS team, raising funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The teams are competing to complete the miles between the 2 landmarks first (by walking, running, swimming or cycling).  Our team challenge aims to boost moral and improve the general wellbeing both physically and mentally of staff, whilst also raising funds for charity.
