Out of Hours and Emergencies
111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
Extended Hours
NHS Extended Access (9.00am to 5.00pm Saturday and 6.30pm to 8.00pm weekdays) is provided by Primary Care Networks (PCNs).
Honley Surgery is part of The Valleys Primary Care Network who has agreed to work in collaboration with The Mast Primary Care Network so that we can offer our patient populations a wider range of health services and flexibility in the extended access provision.
This means our patients may be offered a face-to-face extended access appointment at one of our extended access Hubs – these are Oaklands Health Centre, Huddersfield Road, Thongsbridge, HD9 3TS or Skelmanthorpe Family Doctors, 313 Wakefield Road, Denby Dale, HD8 8RX.
Honley Surgery will also continue to offer extended access appointments (via telephone or face-to-face) on a Friday morning from 7.30am to 8.00am and alternate Tuesday/Wednesday evenings 6.30 to 8.30pm.
